Barcelona - Sitges International Vintage Car Rally

The Barcelona-Sitges International Vintage Car Rally is a race run by old cars every year in the month of March or April, since 1959. It is a unique event that brings together classic vehicles manufactured before 1924 to cover the distance of forty kilometers separating the Catalan municipalities of Barcelona and Sitges. All the participants dress with clothes according to the time of construction of the cars, transporting the spectator in the early 20th century.

The winners of this very peculiar race, declared of National Tourist Interest, are not the fastest competitors. The most valued are the aesthetic aspects and the originality of the cars and the clothes of the members of the vehicles, not the speed or the mechanical resistance.

Exhibition of vintage cars in the hall of Illa Diagonal shopping center in Barcelona.
From February 22nd to March 8th
Exhibition of vintage motorcycles at the Sabàtic hotel, in Sitges.
Saturday, February 28
Exhibition of the participating vintage cars and motorcycles in front of the Illa Diagonal shopping center.
Sunday, March 1
8.30am - 10am - Arrival of the participants and cars exhibition in the Sant Jaume Square.
10.30am - Departure of the rally. The itinerary will pass through Barcelona (Plaça Sant Jaume, Carrer de Jaume I, Plaça de l'Àngel, Via Laietana, Plaça de Correus, Passeig de Colom, Plaça Portal de la Pau, Passeig Josep Carner, Plaça de les Drassanes, Avinguda del Paral·lel, Plaça d'Espanya, Gran Via, Plaça d'Ildefons Cerdà, Rambla del Badal, Carrer de la Constitució), L'Hospitalet de Llobregat (Carrer de Santa Eulàlia, Carrer d'Enric Prat de la Riba – Carrer de Barcelona), Cornellà de Llobregat (Carretera de L'Hospitalet, Avinguda de la Fama, Carrer de Tirso de Molina, Avinguda del Barcelona), Sant Boi de Llobregat, Viladecans, Gavà and Castelldefels.
12.15-12.30am - Arrival and regrouping of cars in front of the Aiguadolç Marina, in Sitges.
1pm - Departure from the Port of Aiguadolç and tour through the streets of Sitges, until reaching the La Fragata Square.
2.30pm - 5.30pm - The cars are exposed to the public on the Fragata Square in the town of Sitges.
