Magnificent 12th century Romanesque church located in the highest part of the picturesque village of Arties. The church has been declared a Cultural Asset of National Interest, being considered one of the best exponents of the Romanesque architecture of the Aran Valley.
The building was built on basilical ground plan with three naves finished originally by three semicircular apses, but only the lateral apses are conserved today. The two access portals are located on the side naves. The central nave is covered with a barrel vault and the laterals with half-domes. In the western part of the church is attached a bellfry and in the eastern part there is a bell gable.
