Inaugurated on 1964 December 6, the ski station is divided into three main areas interconnected by lifts: Baqueira, with a maximum elevation in Cap de Baqueira (2,500 m); Beret, with the top elevation point in Tuc de Dossau (2.516 m); Bonaigua, with the highest elevation in Tuc de la Llança (2,656 m); Baciver, with maximum height in Cap de Baciver (2,610 m). All areas have slopes of all levels of difficulty.
From the highest points of the domain the skiers can enjoy fantastic panoramic views of the Pyrenees and spot peaks such as Maladeta or Pico Aneto, with more that 3,000 meters of high.
Baqueira Beret has two cross-country skicircuits, one of 7 km, well marked, and another of about 40 km, freestyle. Every year a large number of national and international ski competitions take place here, such as the popular March of Beret.
